Ranger or Can Am Defender?

Good morning again everyone. Sorry to start another new thread, but i was at a dealer who is a mile or so from my home, looking at their Rangers and he brought up the Can Am Defender HD10. I’ve not given a Can Am Defender much thought, but it sure seems like a good machine. I know BRP has a reputation for building good quality toys, but i don’t know anyone who has a Defender. What do you think about the Dedender when comparing it to the Ranger 900xp?
They have a ’16 Defender HD10 in stock and discounted pretty heavily with a 3 year warranty thrown in as well. I have been pretty much set on a Northstar edition Ranger, but the salesman said it doesn’t cost anymore to ad the enclosed cab and heater on either a Ranger or Defender if i bought one without a cab.

Thoughts?

I'm more partial to the Defender. The Ranger is a solid time tested and proven machine. Should I want the ability to trail ride some, I'd select the Defender.
